IRISS Platinum Series VPT
Sep 06, 2012
Companies implement an infrared (IR) window program for a variety of reasons, most falling into a few categories:
Standards compliance

Safety
Risk Management
Cost savings
Data Management
The bottom line is IR windows help companies protect people, profits and equipment. InfraRed Imaging Solutions (IRIS) is happy to be representing IRISS and introducing their new Platinum Series VPT Infrared Windows.
The Platinum Series VPT windows utilizes IRISS' exclusive Poly-View system to allow the use of any thermography camera to monitor electrical equipment.
The world's only clear polymer window provides for visual inspections, traditional IR inspections and UV inspections with a corona camera.
The Platinum Series VPT IR windows are industrial grade with a patented re-inforced grill that exceeds high voltage switchgear viewing pane standards.

Jul 18, 2012
This spring, IRIS commissioned another aerial infrared scan,
this time of the downtown core. Aerial infrared images can significantly
cut the costs of doing an on -roof scan by providing a map of areas
where moisture may be present.
You can have our tech come out to
verify and mark off areas of moisture or simply purchase the image to
show your roofer or consultant just where to take core samples.

Thermal
scans for roofing can help preserve your roof for years longer than
expected by identifying areas in need of repair before damage spreads
significantly.

IRIS brings AREA ScanIR to the GTA
This summer IRIS introduced AerialIR to the GTA.
Along with high resolution individual roof scans we have conducted a high altitude, lower resolution scan of approximately 12 thousand acres of high density industrial areas in Mississauga and Brampton.
Best of all, these images were taken
in optimal weather conditions, at optimal solar insolation. The results are spectacular!
Incredible as it is to have a bird's eye view of the rooftops with google earth, we are blown away by what we can see through infrared imaging of thousands of rooftops.
These infrared roofing images pinpoint areas of possible moisture by capturing temperature differences in the roof's surface and membrane. Warmer areas signify insulation material that is holding moisture, as the cooling process is slower than that of dry areas.

To expand our services to our growing customer base, IRIS has applied for, and received ESA certification as an electrical contractor. As part of your predictive and preventative maintenance program, IRIS can perform high voltage, transformer and sub-station cleaning and maintenance to extend the life of your electrical equipment and systems.

Incentives to Evaluate Your Building's Energy Performance!
If you can't measure it, you can't manage it. Understand how your energy is being used.
The AUDIT FUNDING PROGRAM. Evaluate today’s energy use – and identify tomorrow’s opportunities!
Participate and Save
A comprehensive evaluation of your building's energy performance will determine
opportunities for improvement. These options for maximizing energy savings will form
the basis of an action plan.
The AUDIT FUNDING incentive is intended to
cover up to 50% of the cost of an energy
audit, based on requirements that take into account the size and complexity of the buildings.

ARC Flash Safety Workshops
Jan 24, 2011
ARC Flash safety is something that many building and facility managers assume or take for granted that their electrical contractors or maintenance staff are on top of. Not necessarily so. The potential for arc flash is present in every electrical distribution system of every building and it is important to know the risks associated with your equipment and the people that come into contact with it. IRIS is offering Arc Flash seminars in our office, or on-site in yours, to property management groups at no charge. Please call Tracy at 416-479-0270 ext 200 for more information.

A Starting Point for Energy Upgrades
Nov 25, 2010
Infrared Thermography is a practical and proven tool to predict and prevent electrical and mechanical failures. Building sciences engineers, insurance providers and even government now stress the value of predictive maintenance inspections, including infrared thermography, to maintain equipment at optimal service levels, and facilitate worker and tenant safety and comfort.
If building managers want to tap into the many incentives and rebates now offered to increase energy efficiency and upgrade buildings, it is crucially inportant to understand the building as a whole. Infrared thermography applications offer a clear picture of energy-wasting deficiencies throughout the entire structure including the electrical system, HVAC system, plumbing, glazing, insulation and roofing structure.
